Age: Fylingthorpe Youth Holiday is for young people between 14-19 years old.
Cost: Full fees are £245, which includes accommodation, food, activities and crafts, and one* off-site trip during the week. Bursaries are available - please use the contact form or email Ruth Hassall (see contact page) to ask about individual bursaries.
Trips: During the week we normally do two or three off-site trips. Some trips we've done in the past: Alpamare Water Park, Ravenscar Seal Colony, Falling Foss waterfall, Sea Life Centre, Whitby. Trips are weather dependent and may change each year. *One trip is included in the price of the holiday, extra trips may cost money (max £15); some are free e.g. visiting the seal colony.
Transport: To help make it easier to get to Fylingthorpe, a coach runs from the Midlands to Fyling Hall School. The coach runs on a tiered pricing structure depending on where you join. (Prices will be confirmed closer to the time.)

Sleeping & Eating
The young people sleep in proper beds in dormitories in the male and female blocks on site. Rooms are usually between 4 and 6 people with a shared bathroom nearby. Leaders will be sleeping in separate rooms in the same building. Oh, and there's real showers too!
An incredible team of cooks beaver away in the kitchen to produce a fantastic range of tasty food throughout the week. They can accommodate any special dietary requirements. There are three main meals a day, three drink and snack breaks, including evening hot drinks and snacks.
A tuck shop is also available twice a day.

Facilities and local places
Fyling Hall School has some beautiful gardens and places to sit and chill (with sea views), an indoor sports hall, an outdoor sports field and all weather pitch, a basketball court, a small theatre, a croquet lawn, a courtyard with outdoor lounges. It is located up the hill from Robin Hood's Bay, a short drive from Whitby and the seal colony at Ravenscar. There will be some local trips during the week.

Faith
Fylingthorpe Youth Holiday is run by a group of Christians from a range of churches in the UK (see who we are). We welcome young people from all faiths and none to join the holiday, and have seen many return year after year. There are opportunities through the week to hear about the Christian faith and young people are given the freedom to engage with the big questions of life and the universe if they wish. Equally, if it's not their thing, we simply ask them to respect the ethos of the camp. Either way, we ask all young people and adults to be respectful to others.
